Pickup time change to prevent recalculation

What’s new

The system now prevents unnecessary price recalculations when only the pickup or time component is changed on reservation items.

This update is automatically available to you once the release is launched. Please note that the usage of this update could depend on system setups (which modules/products you use) and user roles.

Problem being solved

Previously, for some billing types, any change to the pickup time triggered a full price recalculation, even when the change had no impact on the quantity or duration used for pricing. This caused unnecessary recalculations, unwanted pricing changes, and performance overhead.

Benefit for the users

Users can safely adjust pickup or time details without unintentionally triggering price changes. This improves trust in pricing and reduces manual corrections, plus avoids unnecessary recalculations. If the pickup time change should trigger recalculation (changing time impacts the quantity of the service), the system correctly calculates the new price.

How it works

Pickup time change handling

When a user changes only the time component on an item, the system evaluates whether the billing type depends on the number of days
If the multiplier is not day-dependent, no recalculation is triggered
If the multiplier is day-dependent, the system checks whether the change in time affects the total duration (timespan / 24h)
Recalculation is triggered only if the total number of days changes; otherwise, it is skipped
