Documents Grid Default Sorting
What’s new
The documents grid now defaults to sorting by document creation date, in descending order.
This update is automatically available to you once the release is launched. Please note that the usage of this update could depend on system setups (which modules/products you use) and user roles.
Problem being solved
Previously, the documents grid did not have a consistent default sort order tied to creation date, making it harder for users to quickly spot the most recently created document (such as a newly issued invoice) without manually sorting the grid every time.
Benefit for the users
Users can now immediately see the most recently created documents at the top of the grid, without needing to manually change the sort order. This is especially useful after actions like re-invoicing, where finding the newest document quickly matters.
How it works
Default ordering on the documents grid
- The documents grid now defaults to sorting by document creation date, descending, so the most recently created documents appear at the top. Users can still click on any column to change the sort order manually; this behavior is unchanged.
