Pricing policy Copy functionality enhancement
What’s new
The Copy Pricing Policy functionality has been enhanced with an option to adjust Reservation creation dates during the copy process, making it easier and safer to create new pricing policies based on existing ones.
This update is automatically available to you once the release is launched. Please note that the usage of this update could depend on system setups (which modules/products you use) and user roles.
Problem being solved
Previously, when copying a pricing policy, Reservation creation dates were always copied from the original policy. Users had to manually edit dates afterward, increasing the risk of errors and unintentionally applying the new pricing policy to existing bookings.
Benefit for the users
Users can now control exactly when the copied pricing policy becomes active. This reduces manual steps, minimizes errors, and ensures that new pricing policies are applied only to intended future reservations, improving efficiency and confidence in pricing changes.
How it works
New Pricing Policy Form
- The Copy Pricing Policy form includes a new option: Copy original Reservation creation dates
- When the option is checked (default behavior), Reservation creation dates are copied from the original pricing policy to the new one, maintaining existing functionality
Define the Reservation creation dates
When the option is unchecked, additional fields become available:
- Reservation creation dates for the original (copy-from) pricing policy are displayed and can be adjusted
- Reservation creation dates for the new (copy-to) pricing policy must be defined by the user
Save
On clicking the Copy button, both sets of dates are saved and applied, creating a new pricing policy with clearly defined applicability.
