Partner commission % on the Back office booking form

What’s new

A new read-only field, Partner Commission %, is now available on service pricing lines in the Back office booking form.

The system shows the commission share embedded in the gross Default price and uses that value to keep the relationship between Selling and Default price consistent during manual edits.

Problem being solved

Ad hoc item pricing previously lacked a dedicated system value that captured the commission portion inside the Default price. As a result, when users manually changed Sell and Default price, the relationship between selling and gross pricing could become harder to track and maintain consistently across edits.

Benefit for the users

Users now get immediate visibility into how much of the Default price represents partner commission, directly in the Back office booking form. The system also remembers the last defined commission percentage on each line and reuses it when Selling changes, which reduces manual recalculation, keeps pricing behaviour predictable, and helps preserve pricing consistency on ad hoc services.

How it works

Visibility and display

  • A new column labelled Partner Commission % is shown next to Markup or Margin in the BOBF pricing grid.
  • The column is read-only.

Behaviour when Default price changes

  • A manual change of Default price defines the Partner Commission %. The system recalculates the percentage based on the new Default and current Selling price, and stores that value as the last defined commission percentage for the line item.
  • The Selling price is not recalculated in this case.

Behaviour when Selling price changes

  • A manual change of Selling price keeps the last defined Partner Commission % unchanged.
  • The system then recalculates Default price from the new Selling price using the persisted commission percentage, so the same pricing relationship is maintained.
