This month, we are launching exciting product updates in Lemax. Learn about the details below (available from April 16th, 2026).
Enable automatic actions to cancel and recreate a document
What’s new
Automatic Actions are enhanced with new capabilities to cancel and recreate documents, and with improvements to existing document creation logic to handle edge cases, such as cross-year restrictions.
Please contact customer.success@lemax.net for additional information regarding this new add-on feature. We would be happy to assist you and schedule a demo presentation.
Problem being solved
Previously, document recreation could fail (e.g. when the original document was created in a previous year), and the system did not provide an automated fallback.
Additionally, financial documents (Invoices) couldn’t be cancelled and recreated through Automatic actions.
This resulted in manual workarounds (cancel + create), inconsistent handling across document types, and inefficiencies in document management.
Benefit for the users
Users can now rely on a fully automated and consistent document lifecycle process.
How it works
Enhancements in Document creation
- If recreation fails due to cross-year restriction, existing document is cancelled, and a new one is created
- If other reasons cause failure, improved logging is performed, with no additional action
- Validation prevents usage for Invoice and Supplier Invoice documents to enforce proper flows
New Action – Document Cancel and Create
- A new dedicated action is introduced in Automatic Actions
- Behavior:
- If an active document exists → it is cancelled, then a new document is created
- If no active document exists → a new document is created directly
- For documents requiring cancellation documents (e.g. Invoices):
- The cancellation document is created, then a new document is created
- The cancellation document is created, then a new document is created
- For documents not requiring cancellation documents (e.g. Offers):
- Direct cancellation followed by new document creation
