Coupon codes are used if you want to give some special price to the customer that has the code you have predefined in Lemax. It can be applied through online booking or through back office, depending on whether your customer makes an online booking or not.
To create a coupon code:
- Use the Options → Coupon code overview from the main menu.
- Click New button above the grid with the existing coupon codes.
- A coupon code entry window will appear.
- Enter the Name of the coupon.
Reservation creation dates – period that defines when a reservation should be made to trigger the coupon.
Travel dates – period that defines which travel periods should trigger the coupon.
- Set the amount type in the Amount field of the window:
Discount percentage – values entered in Selling and/or Net price will be considered as percentage of a basic service.
Discount amount – values entered in Selling and/or Net price will reduce basic service for entered amount.
- Enter Selling and/or Net price.
- Set the currency.
- Click OK to save it.
- Enter the code inside Coupon code text box.
- After entering the coupon code you should also add accommodation units or tours to it.
- Choose the Units tab.
- Click the Select existing button over the grid.
- The Travel products search window will appear.
- Select parameters in the Search parameters field and click Search.
- Search results will appear on the right side of the window.
- Select product unit by checking the check box in the first column of the grid and clicking the Select button above the grid.
- The coupon is now fully defined.
