Communication

When a user created a new reservation from a conversation, the system was not pulling the selected Customer that the user selected on the Search grid. With the new release, when creating a reservation from a Conversation, a selected customer on the Search grid is included in the Reservation.

Selected Customer on the Search grid is not immediately present in the reservation and the user doesn’t need to select the customer twice.

How it works

  • Open conversation grid
  • Open one conversation that doesn’t have a connected conversation (Res. no. column is blank)
  • Click on New reservation button
New Reservation Button
  • Select a customer
  • Book a product

Booking management

Until now, there was no possibility to add a partner-specific or agent contract (Contract type different from FIT) to the operational booking (“Add new item with the same passengers” opened a Travel product search form without the “Customer“ field displayed as a search parameter).

We have added the “Customer“ field on the Travel product search form, no matter from which part of the system you are accessing it (regular reservation, operational reservation, contract, FIT tour, group calculation..).

Now, when the Travel product search form is accessed from any part of the system, it is now consistent and always has the “Customer“ field displayed as a search parameter in order to ensure that you know exactly which products are displayed based on the set search parameters.

How it works

The “Customer” field is visible on the Travel product search form, no matter from which part of the system you will access it. Also, it is closely connected to the “Contract type“ (ex “Market“) field in the Advanced search section of the travel product search, which is explained in the table below.

NOTE:The Travel product search form, accessed through the group calculation, displays the Contract selection drop-down for each product listed, which ignores the searh parameter Contract type so there is no specific change of behavior in this part of the system.

With this development, only the search is redefined, the system will allow you to search different contracts across the system, but still book the priority contracts by default (once the Book button is clicked).

To Book a contract that does not have the highest priority, you have to manually select it on the booking form. For more details, please check the “Override contract“ section.

Book

Sometimes, you will search for a contract with a different contract type than the one that is set as the priority. In that case, you will see one price in the search results, and once you click Book the other one (because Book always takes the priority contract). For you to be clear that the selling price displayed in the search results is different from the one on the booking form, the warning message will pop up and you will be able to manually change the contract.

Warning text message:

The total price of the service is different from the one previously displayed on the search. Please check the selected contract, currency, and other parameters that could cause the price difference.

If you would like to book a contract different from the priority one, select the contract manually in the “Contracts“ field.

Override contract

When you click Book, the system will always select a priority contract depending on the customer information and other set parameters. In case you would like to book a contract other than the priority one, go to the “Contract“ field on the reservation item details and select any contract available in the drop-won list to override the automatically selected one.

Product catalog

Departures defined in the Simple tour’s departure schedule were displayed in the price list as column headers. Each departure, in the departure schedule, is defined in date format dd/mm/yy. On the other hand, when departure dates were transferred to the price list, there was no year displayed in the column header, the date format in the price list is dd/mm.

The departure schedule is not limited to one year period, so it was very confusing if there were departures with the same dates but different years, because that was not visible in the price list.

With this release, we changed the date format of the departures in the Simple tour’s price list header, from dd/mm to dd/mm/yy.

The simple tour price list will now clearly display all departure periods in dd/mm/yy format. There is no need to open the departure schedule to check the year as it was previously.

How it works

Once added to the Departure schedule, all departure periods are identically transferred to the price list, in the date format dd/mm/yy.
